Eng Choon is qualified systemic family therapist with over 20 years’ experience working with mental health. She has a keen interest to work with couples with a variety of relational issues and at different stages of their relationship. She can conduct therapy sessions in English and Mandarin.
She has worked with people with a variety of mental health issues like depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder or personality disorder, and helped families going through grief and loss, parenting difficulties, gender dysphoria, work stresses and other relational issues.
Eng Choon has experience both in public healthcare as well as community-based social services. She worked as a senior medical social worker and family therapist at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) and as a counsellor in a family service centre and community rehabilitation centre. She has also conducted training and supervision for junior social workers and is currently a trainer for social services and healthcare providers. She believes in providing a safe therapeutic space and working collaboratively with her clients to find healing and create change.
