Darshini has worked for over a decade in inpatient and outpatient tertiary psychiatric services, child protection, youth offending and residential services, community services, military services, corporate consultancy, and private health services. She has held key leadership positions, managed teams of clinicians, supervised clinical practice, and overseen the creation and delivery of clinical programmes.
Trained as a clinical psychologist, Darshini evaluates for different mental health needs, makes a clinical diagnosis where appropriate, and provides evidence-based intervention. She has supported clients with a range of needs, including depression, bipolar disorder, dysthymia, trauma, complex mental health needs, panic attacks and disorders, anxiety disorders, somatic complaints, intellectual disability, personality disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, adjustment disorder, grief, gender identity issues, sexuality, and relational difficulties.
Darshini is committed to high practice standards and continued growth in the field of mental health. She also teaches as an adjunct senior lecturer at the National University of Singapore, Department of Psychology, provides corporate training, and supervises mental health practitioners.
