Geetika started her career in psychotherapy in 2015. Having studied, lived and trained in Singapore, the UK, India, Australia and Switzerland, she has worked with a diverse range of clients and personal situations. She had a long and successful stint in various large multi-national companies before deciding to start a family and switching careers toward psychotherapy. She intrinsically understands the challenges people face balancing home and work life and in the corporate world.
Geetika has studied at world-renowned institutes and received integrative training in psychotherapy and counselling. She has worked with both Asian and western men, women, adolescents, young adults, LGBTQ+ and the aged. In the UK, she worked at the wellness centre at the University of Roehampton, and in Singapore with various homes for the aged. She has helped her clients navigate a range of issues like terminal illness, family relationships, trauma, PTSD, schizophrenia, dementia, sexuality, depression, marital problems, gaming addiction, self-esteem issues, academic problems, motivation, grief, bereavement, different abilities, neurodiversity, professional performance, OCD, chronic pain, psychosomatic pain, panic disorders, weight management, eating disorders, smoking cessation, race relations, displacement and relocation related issues, and life-stage challenges.
She has unwavering faith in the personal strength, adaptability, and agency of each client. She believes in the healing power of a non-judgemental, safe and trusted therapeutic relationship and is always tuned in to subliminal and non-verbal communication during sessions. She aims to help and support clients through difficult times and empower them with self-reliance, hope, strength, and compassion towards the self and others.
Geetika has always endeavoured to stay up to date in skills training and experiences, and she spends her free time helping refugees and supporting underprivileged clients in India. Geetika practices mindful walking, and she loves to travel and learn new sports – recently trying Nordic skiing and ice skating. She is happily married with two teenagers and an adorable Labrador.
